Junge Bühne Bochum

The Junge Bühne Bochum (Young Stage Bochum), in short JuBB, was founded in 2018 by artists who had previously worked on plays for children and young people at Schauspielhaus Bochum. Since then, JuBB has developed as a free collective to produce theatrical, dance, and musical productions for a young audience, which are regularly invited and awarded at festivals.

JuBB's productions are intellectually and aesthetically challenging, interdisciplinary, sensual, direct, and close to life, ranging from small storytelling formats to large stage productions. They evoke smiles as well as contemplation and most of all: they want to create a desire for more theater.

JuBB works as a collective, is open to inviting guests for collaboration, cooperates with Junges Schauspielhaus Bochum, seeks international contacts, is located in the KoFabrik and is a member of Assitej.

JuBB makes theater for young and old, and for those who aren’t sure whether they've already grown up or stayed young.

Not only this website provides an insight into the work of JuBB, but also our Instagram profile.
